Please note that pavilion rentals only provide exclusive use to the pavilion. The park is open to the public.

How to Rent the Pavilion:

This is to reserve the pavilion only.

Park playground, basketball, and pickleball courts will remain open to the public.

Rental fee starts at $50 for 2 hours, then $25 for each additional hour, up to $200 for the full day + deposit

Park Rules & Regulations

For General Use:

  • Rental Fees

    • $50 for 2 hours, then $25 for each additional hour. Full Day: $200  (Sunrise-Sunset)

    • A refundable deposit is required for all rentals. ($50 per 50 people) for example:

      1. $50 up to 50 people, $100 up to 100 people, etc.

    • Refunds will be determined at the next Park Board meeting. Deposit check will be voided once approved.

  • Permission for Large Groups: Groups over 100 must obtain approval 7 days in advance.

  • Restrooms for Events: Events with 200+ people must rent additional porta-potties at their own expense and provide proof of rental before the event.

  • Hours of Operation: The park is open from sunrise to sunset. No after-hours use is allowed.

  • Features for park guests:

  • Other park features: Please note that pavilion rentals only provide exclusive use to the pavilion. The park is open to the public.

    • 5 park benches with backs to seat 15 people total. 

    • 3 courtside backless benches to seat 9 people total. The courtside benches must be moved back to their court locations if they are moved. 

    • A stone masonry wall that is at a perfect height for sitting, while viewing the creek or the park, and could be enjoyed by at least 50 people at one time.

Care for the Environment

  • Protect Nature: Flora, fauna, and landscapes must not be injured, damaged, or defaced. Grass areas may not be used for parking or other activities that harm the turf.

  • No Damage to Structures: Buildings, fences, equipment, benches, signs, and other infrastructure must not be defaced or damaged.

    • Prohibited Attachments: No staples, tacks, nails, or adhesive materials may be used on tables, posts, pavilions, benches, or other park features.

  • Leave No Trash Behind: Visitors must dispose of all rubbish, paper, and glass in provided receptacles or take everything brought in. Do not overfill the trash can. Take garbage to the dumpster by the fire hall, then place new trash bags in the receptacles.

Cooking and Fires

  • No Open Flames Under Pavilion Roofs: Grilling or frying under roofs is prohibited.

  • No Dumping of Grease or Oil: Dispose of grease, oil, or other substances properly—do not leave them in the creek or on park grounds.

Park Facilities

  • Table Placement: Tables must remain under pavilion roofs. Return any table moved to its original location.

  • Picnic Reservations: Reserving a picnic area gives exclusive access to that area, not the entire park.

  • Keep Walkways & Kayak Pathways Clear

  • Pets: Pets must be leashed at all times, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them.

Safety and Conduct

  • Noise Levels: Music is permitted at a reasonable level. No offensive music is permitted. Please respect park visitors and neighbors.

  • Prohibited Items: No fireworks or weapons.

  • Children Supervision: Guardians must supervise children at all times.

  • Harassment of Visitors: Harassing other park patrons is strictly prohibited.

  • Alcohol & Smoking: Alcohol and smoking are prohibited.

Special Rules for Events

  • Events: Parties, public meetings, gatherings, weddings, reunions, commercial activities, etc. require prior approval from the Park Board.

  • Event Decorations: Decorations such as balloons or streamers must not damage the park and must be removed after the event. No staples, duct tape, nails, etc.

Additional Notes

  • Private Property: Do not trespass on private property surrounding the park.

  • Liability Disclaimer: Visitors use the park at their own risk. Venango Borough and the Venango Volunteer Fire Department are not responsible for injuries, theft, or damage.

  • Lost and Found: Check with the Venango Volunteer Fire Department for lost items.

  • Weather Safety: Venango Borough is not responsible for weather conditions. Severe weather may result in park closures.

Event Cleanup Checklist: What to Do

  • Before Leaving:

    • Remove all decorations, including tape, string, balloons, etc.

    • Clean up food scraps or spills on tables and the ground.

    • Dispose of all trash. Take garbage to the dumpster by the fire hall

    • Put new trash bags in receptacles.

    • Return tables to their original location under the pavilion.

    • Check the area for personal belongings (coolers, chairs, toys, etc.).

    • Sweep or tidy the pavilion area as needed.

    • Clean the restroom.

  • Final Check:

    • Ensure no trash, decorations, or food is left behind.

    • Confirm everything is in good condition to avoid losing your deposit.
